Meet The Author

Heather Michael, founder and owner of Solutions, began her care journey in 1994 with a bachelor’s degree in nursing from Linfield College. As a registered nurse, Heather worked with local physicians until 1997, when she founded her first adult family home. Her experiences coordinating care and managing the staff led her to her calling: Solutions.

Over 11 years ago, Heather saw a need for high-quality in-home companion care in Kennewick, WA. After seeing seniors long for their own houses and beds, she realized that there’s no substitute for the comfort and security of home. Over the years, Heather also noticed that clients who were able to remain at home with skilled caregivers improved their vitality and quality of life.
